If you have fine hair, your individual hair shaft has a small diameter. You can tell if you have fine hair by gliding an individual hair strand through your fingertips: if you can hardly feel the individual strand, you have fine hair. Fine hair doesn’t need a lot of conditioning and is usually smooth and soft. On the flip side, it can look lifeless and weighed down and lack volume. If you have fine hair, go easy on conditioners because over-conditioning will weigh your hair down and make it look limp and flat.
The best shampoo and conditioner bars for fine hair are our “orange” bars. The "orange" shampoo bar cleanses gently yet effectively and the conditioner will detangle your hair and make it easier to comb while providing a lighter conditioning coating to not cause any extra "weight". If your roots get greasy easily, make sure to use the conditioner only on your ends (if you need it at all). If your fine hair is dry and damaged - for example because of permanent color-treatments or bleaching - you can use our “pink” conditioner for dry, damaged hair on your mids and ends. Fine hair can break easily so make sure to always dry it gently by patting moisture out with a towel, avoid brushing your hair when wet and avoid heat treatments whenever possible (air drying is always a good – and also a sustainable – choice)
