Soap is horrible for hair washing, ultimately leading to long-term damage. That’s why in all of our formulas, we avoid saponification (the chemical reaction that produces soap).
Our bars do not contain synthetic fragrances. The scent comes from natural ingredients and a hint of lavender and chamomile oil. The scent can appear stronger when you take the bar from the box but it will subside when you wet the bar with water.
No. Lather comes from surfactants that cleanse hair. Conditioners should not have those and should not lather. They work more like lotions for deep moisture, smoothing, shine, and more. Therefore, the consistency is more like a lotion.
The application of conditioner with a bar takes a little longer but in turn goes deeper and is more concentrated for your hair. Glide the bar over hair multiple times to release conditioner, then massage conditioner into strands.
Yes, for very thirsty or extremely frizzy hair, you can leave a small amount in your hair. After rinsing, massage the bar between hands and then apply a small amount of conditioner into mids and ends as leave-in. Then, dry as usual.
Functionally, I love it. No complaints. My favorite use is as a leave in treatment right after a shower. Second favorite use is as a styler when I want my hair sleeked back or in a low bun.
This would be 5 stars if it was fragrance-free. While I appreciate that the fragrance is only lavender essential oil and not perfume/parfum, some people still want fully fragrance free (asthma, chemotherapy patients). As with the shampoo bars, I would love to see fully fragrance free options! :)

I purchased a shampoo bar and then decided I wanted a conditioner bar. I love these products. It has really helped with my thinning hair. I am finding a lot less hair in my drain. I also like the idea of not having all the bottles in the shower and in my recycling bin.

Until menopause, my hair had always been silky and straight. But as I went progress through change of life my hair got more and more frizzy and frustrating. I could no longer blow it out straight. After a couple years of fighting my hair and trying different products, this conditioner has helped me to like my hair again. I now use superzero products, a little gel and let my hair air dry into waves. It is soft and attractive again. I am very grateful! Conditions well. I've very short hair and just rub it through wet hair a couple times. Use whenever my hair feels dry....maybe 2-3 times weekly. Gives good hydration and shine.
